2025 Super HD-350 v1.0
It’s back… As many of you are aware, the original version of this mod is over a year old now and was never approved for consoles. This is the only mod of mine that hasn’t made its way to consoles, so it was bugging me.
To avoid getting lost in the mix, I decided to make a new and improved 2025 edition.
This version uses less overall memory, has my newer style clean-ish textures, PC/Console branded tires, and more. As a bonus, my new branded tires have at least a 50% reduction in memory and look better, too.
Just a reminder, I am done modding SnowRunner, and I’m still undecided about modding RoadCraft, if and when that time ever comes.
The Update Backstory:
Why did it take so long to update this? Unfortunately, my custom ‘Ferd’ look-a-like logos were not ‘console-friendly’ this time around, so I had to remove them. While that sounds pretty simple, it required well over 100 changes to the 3D models, textures, and code.
My mods are very complicated due to all the details, addons, and branding, and making this console-friendly easily took 30+ hours of tedious, unrewarding work. Not only was it a huge waste of time, something I’m ultimately not happy with, but it sucks getting hundreds of DM’s a month from console players asking (over and over) when this will be approved. Honsley, I was over it.
Boo Hoo me… I just want console players to understand that making console-friendly mods can suck. I realize it’s my fault for wanting to make the best mods I can, but we as modders do not owe console players anything. I wanted to give console players a branded-like experience like my other Super HD mods, and the Devs just were not on my side this time around.
This is the type of stuff that takes the fun out of modding for consoles, especially since I haven’t played SR on my XSX in over 4 years.
Please remember that most modders play SR on PC. We spend hundreds of hours of our time, personal money on things like Adobe subscriptions at $100 a month, 3D models, PC hardware… Yeah, we mod for the fun of it, but in most cases, console mods take a lot of extra time, preplanning, and work that is not exactly fun. The reality is that making our mods console-friendly only benefits console players and the game developer with free content since we rarely use them. Anyway, let’s hope this version gets approved.
The 2025 Super HD-350
This is the final edition of my Super HD mod lineup. I have a Super HD-550… 450…and now a 350.
All of the trucks are built to be distinctly different with unique chassis setups, bed configurations, interiors, addon selections, and more.
The Super HD-350 is based on a Platinum trim with the Tremor package, and it features a short-bed heavy-duty pickup truck chassis like the F-250/350. (My HD-450/550 were chassis cab platforms)
The F-150 Raptor and the Fox Racing partnership inspire the suspension package. I built the suspension as sort of a… What if Ford decided to build a Super Duty Raptor with performance and HD functionality? All of these Fox components are IRL parts that could easily be fitted to a current Super Duty with some light fabrication and a lot of money.
Towing and Hauling:
The Gen-Y inspired trailer hitches are animated and can be installed on the fly with the click of a button from the function’s menu. You no longer need to get hung up on the drop hitch when it’s not in use.
The hitches are a combination ball and pintle hitch, too. The pintle lock can be manually activated from the function menu.
Both the Pickup Bed and MITS-inspired flatbed tray have a Gooseneck hitch addon that works with IR’s Gooseneck Trailer Pack.
When using a Goosenck Trailer, you need to. 1) Use one of my Tow & Haul suspension tunes 2) Install the ‘Active Tow Chassis Weight’ addon. This is essentially a weighted bumper that can be activated on the fly from the function menu. It will shift the weight from the center of the truck to the front with the click of a button. This is great for leveling out your gooseneck trailer loads. Once you drop off your load, flip the switch, and your truck will relevel.
