ZiKZ 538D v1.0
EN. ZiKZ 538D aka D-538 aka MAZ-538 is a remake of this mod by Silent_Laconic. I’ve always liked that ridiculous-utilitarian yet powerful look of this thing (even though it wasn’t that good in Mudrunner), but the original conversion lacked functionality and some polish, and since the author hasn’t updated this mod for over five years I took the liberty of remaking this mod to my liking – and maybe someone else will appreciate it too. Since the model differs from the real and I’m a fan of the vanilla style, the names and logos have been replaced with ZiKZ. For the “real” MAZ you always welcome to use original mod.
List of changes and differences from the original mod:
– reorganized and renamed original configs, unused configs have been removed;
– addon categories have been slightly adjusted for easier sorting;
– new images in the garage and store;
– support all available in game languages;
– added missing headlight flares, working brake lights and a reverse light;
– corrected the position of the engine mesh, as well as the icons for the suspension, fuel tank, engine and gearbox;
– slightly adjusted camera position;
– slightly adjusted winch mounting points;
– slightly adjusted engine and fuel tank damage zones;
– slightly improved custom wheel parameters to compensate their narrowness compared to vanilla MSH tires – 0.5 onroad / 2.0 offroad / 3.0 mud;
– added small support for the JAT Tire pack;
– active suspension has been removed (this thing is high enough);
– fuel tank reduced to 400 liters (as in the original Mudrunner);
– fuel barrels addon capacity reduced from 1200 to 900 liters – same as vanilla small fuel tanks;
– horn sound replaced with the old one from Mudrunner;
– cheating snorkel has been replaced with a slightly less cheating snorkel;
– builtin repair kit with 120 repair points;
– added small roof rack with 60 liters of fuel;
– added some customization – two types of foglights, a spotlight, two beacons, air fresheners on mirror (but without mirror);
– added vanilla small repair addon;
– added vanilla single slot sideboard bed;
– added support for Futom logging trailers;
– added coupler for farming trailers;
– added custom log crane (retexture of the cutted version);
– added custom small crane (retexture of the Chimera crane).
Unsolved issues:
– since I’m not in model editing there’s still no way to change truck paintjobs;
– there’s some clipping of the models with the frame platform – but it’s needed for visual unity and as a stand for new addons;
– though the translation mostly taken from the game files main truck description made by google so it can be a little weird – feel free to send me proper translation and maybe I update it.
